Calls for a safer freeway crossing at Avenel

CROSSING CONCERNS: Steph Ryan (MLA, Euroa), Cr Malcolm Little, Avenel Action Group president Jeff Moran, mayor Amanda McLaren and Avenel Action Group member Helen Dawson are all calling on the State Government to take action to ensure safety at the freeway intersection.

LOCAL Avenel residents are calling on the Victorian Andrews Government to make the intersection of the Hume Freeway and Jones St safer to cross.

LOCAL Avenel residents are calling on the Victorian Andrews Government to make the intersection of the Hume Freeway and Jones St safer to cross.

Unlike Violet Town or Euroa, Avenel does not have an overpass for motorists to access if they need to travel to the eastern areas of the town.

Deputy Leader of the National Steph Ryan (MLA, Euroa) said Avenel has missed out while other safety measures were put in place on other parts of the freeway.
