UNDER 15

FOR the second week in a row, a slow start cost the under 15s Magpies side dearly when final siren sounded at Memorial Oval, this time against St Mary's.

The visitors got off to a flying start, shooting 19 goals to Euroa's 10 in the opening term.

Defenders Maggie Pittock and Martha McKellar were handed a tall order in St Mary's in–form shooters while good work from Euroa goalies Ella Hill and Bronte Mustey kept the home side within striking distance.

Despite outscoring the opposition in the last quarter, the Magpies fell just short again– Euroa 45 to St Mary's 52.

UNDER 13

THE under 13s Magpies produced one of their best performances this season in a comprehensive victory over Seymour's St Mary's at home on Sunday.

Goal Defense Jade Raleigh made it very tough for the St Mary's attackers, dominating for four quarters in defense and through the centre.

At the other end, Goal Attack Lily Asquith had a day out, contributing the lion's share of the side's 35 goals.

Avie Hill was ever–reliable in the center and Willow Hamill impressed again on the wing.

The girls take on Broadford this Sunday in the first final.

UNDER 11

THE sun was out and drawing a big crowd for our Under 11s game.

The girls were pumped up and ready to take on St Mary's in a win to keep their place in the top four. Captain Charlotte Burden won the toss and Ivy Burden came out strong to take the first center pass. Both teams started the first quarter strong and fought hard for the ball.

The girls consistently made great space in the midcourt during the second quarter, creating great options to move the ball into the goal end.

Mia Holmes, Sissy Davey and Mabel Tilton kept the defense end strong intercepting passes and rebounding strongly under the ring.

Audrey Anderson worked strong in centre with the help of Lylah Hamill & Mabel Tilton to get the ball through the center to the goalers.

Grace shooting both goals in the quarter in the tightly contested game.

Coach Maggie settled the girls down, giving them clear instructions to take their time, watch their footwork and have fun.

The crowd was getting louder encouraging the girls during the third quarter to help them extend their lead over St Marys.

The defense team of Sissy Davey & Charlotte Burden was unstoppable in the last quarter, keeping St Marys scoreless.

The midcourt girls Audrey, Mabel and Lylah making great space and never giving up.

Strong goaling by Grace and Asha seen the girls celebrating and squealing as the game finished.

Final score a win for the girls, Euroa 13 – St Marys six.
