Euroa’s Under 10s had an early start at Redlegs Stadium on the weekend, taking on Longwood.
The team settled quickly, with Billy Harper dominant in the ruck and giving the speedy Hudson King first use of the ball.
Roy Burton continued his good form in front of goal with an early major.
In defence, the “twin towers” Jimmy Jackson and Jett Fielden intercepted everything in the air.
It has been pleasing to see the development of Bohdi Cummins, Izzy Limbrick, and Will Swift this season, with all three playing their best games of the year.
The second efforts from Emmett Arrowsmith and Lucas Mason out of the backline were outstanding, as they refused to give up.
After half time, Longwood came out strongly, with Tommy Bickerton and Lenny Moore causing Euroa plenty of trouble.
The midfield, led by Jed Enright and Tayte Wilson, lifted when needed, allowing Euroa to regain the ascendency.
Heading into the last term, it was an even contest, but Cody O’Bree and Lewis Riley took control, proving vital in the final quarter performance.
The team will head to Shepparton this weekend for the Gala Day round robin and a fitting way to finish a fantastic season.
