It was our final home game of the season on the weekend, taking on Undera in what proved to be a great contest.

The opposition came out strong and controlled much of the early play, but Jimmy Jackson held firm in defence with some incredibly resilient efforts to keep them at bay.

Hudson King and Tayte Wilson helped turn the tide with their relentless running through the midfield, giving us a spark.

In the second quarter, the boys really clicked into gear.

Jett Fielden and Jed Enright were right in the thick of it, winning the hard ball and shifting the momentum our way.

Bailey Nunn was a standout up forward, showing great composure and accuracy as he slotted multiple goals for the term.

From there, the momentum was all ours. Lenny Moore, Roy Burton and Tommy Bickerton began linking up beautifully with precise ball movement and smart kicking.

Will Swift booted a miraculous goal and quickly followed it up with two more to cap off a great individual performance.

Izzy Limbrick and Bohdi Cummins found plenty of the ball, showing just how far their skills have come over the course of the season.

Billy Harper took charge in the ruck in the final quarter, giving us first use at every opportunity.

Lucas Mason and Emmett Arrowsmith were tireless as the game wore on, both getting their hands on the ball and driving us forward.

Another terrific effort from the kids, who continue to improve every week and show what a bright future lies ahead.

In perfect footy conditions on Saturday, the Euroa Under 12s travelled to Tatura to take on the strong Tatura Red outfit.

The match began with high intensity from both sides, with the ball moving end-to-end but neither team able to break through early.

Tatura eventually found some space late in the first quarter, slotting two goals to take a 14–0 lead into the first break.

The second term mirrored the first, with tight defence from both teams.

Euroa had several promising forward entries but couldn’t quite convert, while Tatura made the most of their chances to extend their lead to 26–0 by half time.

Euroa lifted in the third quarter, bringing greater pressure and controlling more of the play in their forward half.

They were rewarded with their first score of the match and another shot on goal, while Tatura managed only three behinds.

It was a hotly contested quarter, with Tatura leading 29–2 at the final change.

Despite a strong final quarter push and repeat inside 50s, Euroa couldn’t close the gap.

Tatura ran out 51–5 winners, though the match was much closer than the scoreboard suggested.

Euroa’s resilience and never-give-up attitude were standout features on the day.

With kick off at 11.30am, the frost had thawed and the sun was shining as Euroa took on the Moama Magpies on neutral ground at Kialla.

The kids were a little sluggish to start, resulting in a low-scoring first quarter.

Both sides managed one goal apiece, with Euroa sneaking ahead thanks to two additional behinds.

The rev up at quarter time did the trick, with the pace lifting noticeably in the second quarter.

Our smaller players brought fast and furious footy to the contest.

Alex Burton and Levi Berry were standouts, with Alex slotting two goals and Levi bagging four for the day.

Momentum built steadily, and the margin stretched to 11 points by half time.

Euroa stepped it up again in the third quarter, with familiar faces leading the charge.

Darby Hoare finished with three goals, Ty Fielden worked solidly through the middle, and Aidan Hamill stood strong on the half back flank.

A cracking third term saw the lead extend to 50 points, with Max Anderson and Charlie Hamill each kicking their first goals of the season.

The heat and physicality of the day showed in the final term, but Euroa held on to finish strong.

Next Sunday, we’re back at home to take on the undefeated Seymour, who have been strong throughout the season.

It would be fantastic to see as many supporters as possible at the game to rally behind the kids and hopefully help cause an upset.

First bounce is at 10am.

SCOREBOARD: Euroa 13.12.90 defeated Moama 7.2.44
