We headed over to take on Mooroopna on a wet, soggy Saturday morning.

The team came out firing from the first bounce, with Hudson King, Roy Burton and Tommy Bickerton dominating in midfield with their speed and agility.

Jett Fielden was in command down back, assisted by Jed Enright and Lewis Riley.

The team continued to dominate the game, with Jimmy Jackson and Izzy Limbrick setting up a brick wall in defence.

The ball simply did not get past them.

Lucas Mason, Emmett Arrowsmith and Riley Burden had fantastic games, showing real improvement as we come to the end of the season.

We put the foot down after half time, with Tayte Wilson and Bohdi Cummins providing plenty of service to Cody O’Bree, who kicked multiple goals.

The team ended the game in a ferocious manner, with Billy Harper in the ruck winning plenty of the ball.

Will Swift was very elusive in the midfield, and his foot skills helped Lenny Moore get among the goals late in the game.

It was a fantastic team performance, keeping the opposition goalless for the game.

We have our final home game of the season this weekend, with the team up against Undera.

Euroa’s under 12s toughed it out in true winter fashion on Saturday, overcoming a gritty Tatura Blue outfit in wet and slippery conditions at Memorial Oval.

While the rain held off for much of the match, the saturated ground made clean possession a challenge.

Euroa opened strongly, pushing forward within the first 30 seconds to register a behind.

After a low scoring contest, Slater O’Bree broke the deadlock with a clever goal, then added another just before the first break to give Euroa a 13 to 6 lead.

The second term saw missed opportunities from both sides.

Tatura edged ahead before Tom Goss capitalised on a loose ball to keep Euroa within reach.

The third quarter was a slog, with light rain making clean possession even more difficult.

In just his second game on the wing, Aston Georgiadis read the play well, working hard at ground level to give his team first use of the ball.

A late goal saw Euroa regain the lead, heading into the final break up.

With a two point lead and the coach’s challenge ringing in their ears, the Euroa team lifted.

A strategic move of the strong defensive pair, Ky Townsend and Ollie Schwartzkopff, helped steady the backline.

Up forward, Will Harris looked dangerous, and the team kicked 4.3 to just a single behind to seal a 51 to 23 win.

It was a wet trip down to Broadford on Sunday as we fielded a side of 16 kids.

A soggy field and slippery ball made for a hard slog, with the smaller on ballers playing a critical role.

A good opening quarter saw Broadford scoreless.

Our lead continued to grow quarter by quarter, with Isla Moore proving strong and being rewarded with a goal, Ty Fielden working hard in the ruck, and Zaki Chambers consistently pushing the ball forward.

The backline was solid, with Tom and Jock Macdermid, along with Carter Simmons.

Billy Wilson, who usually plays forward, holding Broadford goalless until the final quarter.

Darby Hoare was, as always, strong and added four goals to his tally for the season.

SCORE: Euroa 7.6.48 defeated Broadford 1.3.9.

Next week we take on Moama at Kialla Park Recreation Reserve at 11.30am on Sunday.
