A DECENT show of 17 riders on a glorious sunny Saturday afternoon, ventured to the gruelling 54km undulating Kobyboyn horseshoe course.

In what was a testing predominantly side wind; it would favor the scratch riders.

However with Harvey dropping and damaging his chain at the half way point, and young Finbar finding his mark a little tough, Brodie Sims would have to slog it out alone.

This left the remaining four groups, with which the second limit had devoured the limit riders at the halfway point.

Second scratch joined third and motored on powered by Kirby to catch the lead bunch on the infamous Kobyboyn killer (hill).

It was on the decent where the pace stepped up and popped a few out the back.

With the second scratch group of O'Keefe, Kirby and Thomson doing all the work on the fast return to town, it was the opportune Andy Garrett who made the attack which ended up sticking and hung on for a gutsy win in front of the ever strong and fastest time of Darryl O'Keefe for a photo second.
