Alongside five other regional Victorian councils, Strathbogie Shire Council is supporting community members to find energy saving solutions for their homes.

The shire is now part of the Goulburn Murray Solar Savers program which offers individuals, families, and businesses a curated list of installers, products, and rebates for suppliers of energy saving solutions.

The list has now expanded to include a greater number of installers and products, including solar PV, battery storage, hot water heat pumps, efficient reverse cycle heating and cooling systems, induction cooktops, EV chargers, insulation, draft proofing, and home energy assessments.

Strathbogie Shire CEO Rachelle Quattrocchi welcomed the initiative as a valuable tool for the Strathbogie community.

“We know people want to reduce their energy bills, but it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what’s best and who to trust,” Ms Quattrocchi said.

“Goulburn Murray Solar Savers connects residents directly with trusted installers, backed by local councils, and helps them access government rebates with confidence.”

The other five councils participating in the program are those of Alpine Shire, Greater Shepparton City, Indigo Shire, Mitchell Shire, and Murrindindi Shire.

Community members are encouraged to learn more about the Goulburn Murray Solar Savers program by visiting www.goulburnmurraysolarsavers.org.au/strathbogie-shire.html

Suppliers participating in the program are familiar with all current State Government rebate schemes and can support customers in accessing them as part of the quoting process. However, residents are still encouraged to conduct their own research and may seek additional quotes outside of the program.
