If you think the local library is just a place to borrow some reading books – then think again.

At the Euroa Library, events are happening for all ages – from the very young to older generations – offering opportunities to learn and experience ideas and visions from others.

Coming up on 4 September is a talk session with Megg Miller OAM: A Passion for Antiquarian Books.

Alongside editing Grass Roots and Australasian Poultry, Megg has researched and written extensively on the origins of poultry and rare breeds.

Her reference library includes volumes from the early 1600s and from each subsequent century.

Join Megg at the Euroa Library on 4 September for the First Thursday Conversations at 2pm, when she will speak on her love of antiquarian books.

Also coming up is the Housing Information Session for older citizens.

The session will cover affordable housing for those struggling to meet rental costs, support for people at risk of becoming homeless, and advice for those living in retirement residences, among other topics.

So if you are over 50 and struggling with any of the above issues, join the information session at the Euroa Library on 17 September from 10am, supported by the Housing for the Aged Action Group.
