Kids love it when school breaks up for term holidays – but just occasionally they can get a little bored and look for something to do.

This is where our Strathbogie Shire libraries come into play – they offer a program of activities throughout the two weeks of term breaks – including the Euroa Library.

Craft activities are a favorite with many and these can include Wriggly Wrapped Spiders made with pipe cleaners in varied colors, twisted to look like kooky arachnids (spiders).

Textural Wool Painting has been another favorite at Euroa Library – using wool as your ‘paint’ you can arrange it into shapes and patterns. Let strands extend beyond your frame for a flowing effect. Using a sticky canvas makes this a great activity for all ages.

The Euroa Library will offer two more sessions this week – edging towards the end of this Term 3 break – Nature Beetles – on Thursday 2 October at 10am and Friday 3 October again at 10am.

Today (1 October at 2pm if you are quick) there is a session on Beaded Worm Puppets.

Bookings are essential as places are limited and can be made by phoning 1300 374 765 and follow the prompts.

But activities at the local libraries does not finish at term break – all year round there is plenty to see and do at your town’s library.

Drop in and see what is available – including a huge range of children’s books to borrow and read.
