The Ruffy Garden Club will welcome guest speaker Melissa Honeydew at its next meeting on Saturday, August 31 at 10am.

Honeydew, from Lancefield, is known for her work with heritage fruit trees and will share clever ways to grow fruit successfully.

The meeting will also feature the launch of the club’s new gardening calendar, a practical month-by-month guide showing what to sow in punnets or the garden, along with pruning tips.

The calendar has been illustrated throughout by local artist Janet Fagan, whose detailed artwork brings each season to life.

“We put this together because we are part of the Circular Organic Garden program, which has been sponsored by the Shire and Sustainability Victoria’s Circular Economy Fund,” a club spokesperson said.

Copies of the calendar will be available at the meeting.
