What do a chaplain, a vet, a real estate agent, a pilot, a lifeguard, and a journalist have in common?

Please read on.

On a bleak winters day in June, with no rain in sight, the idea of a dip to raise money for cancer research seemed like a great idea.

A dunk in a very low dam - not in a pool or the ocean - might highlight the plight of farmers in drought.

We want to have contrast with a beautiful back yard with family pool or coastal cliffs with blue ocean waves.

A dam it is.

Now as August disappears and the dams are filling and many tanks are full, it seems like a very cold idea.

So at 9am on Thursday 21 August, a hardy band will be dunking in the Euroa Arboretum dam.

Too cold for leeches we hope.

It’s Daffodil Day so come and dunk with us and/or donate while you cheer us on.

Warm fire, BBQ sausages, and a tot of rum for those who get wet.

A donation please if you stay dry.

Anyone can join in - it's all to raise money for cancer research.

A lucky 12 will be wearing yellow tutus.
