Community groups continuing the important work of making food available to those in need are being urged to seek newly-released funding.

Nationals member for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad has encouraged local community and volunteer groups to apply for the 2025-2026 Community Food Relief Program – Local Grants.

Groups eligible for funding include:

• Neighbourhood houses

• Community and volunteer-led organisations

• Social enterprises

Ms Broad urged eligible groups to apply, given the vital work local community and volunteer groups provide across the region and said the demand for food relief had increased dramatically across Northern Victoria.

“It is critical that organisations are supported so they can help those in need,” Ms Broad said.

“This new round of funding will help and support the work so many of our community and volunteer groups provide in our community.

“I urge all our eligible groups to consider applying for the latest round.”

Applications close on Tuesday, 19 August.
