THE 2024 Strathbogie Shire business awards were held on Friday night at Fowles Wine.
What an amazing night, attended by business owners, managers and employees, sponsors and dignitaries from across the shire.
All were there to celebrate local business’ initiative, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence.
After not being held in over five years, this was a very overdue celebration, and we were committed to delivering an event that reflected the resilience, determination and commitment that local businesses have to their communities.
It celebrated businesses across all sectors, their commitment to sustainability practices, customer service excellence, innovation and delivering quality products to their communities.
We were very fortunate to hear from two local entrepreneurs, inspiring keynote speakers Matt Fowles and Paula Burton.
They captivated attendee's with extremely interesting and informative speeches.
Thank you to Matt and Paula for your insights and thought-inspiring words.
We presented both with a beautiful, framed image of local bird species made by Birds in focus, wine from Fowles and a stunning arrangement donated by The Nest.
Across the seven award categories we saw many diverse and varied businesses represented.
The beautiful and unique winner trophies were designed and created locally by Catherine Mosely from Catherine the Jeweller.
Thank you Catherine for putting so much thought and care into these trophies.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors for supporting the event to make it possible.
Thanks to Steve and Libby from the Strathbogie Shire Council for their efforts and support throughout the planning process.
Thanks, Ian Coutts, for being our sensational MC for the evening.
Shout out to Damon from Euroa Printers for creating and printing all the material used om the evening.
Thanks to Matt and Ashley Fowles and the staff at Fowles wine; The Nest Euroa for the Arbour and stunning floral arrangement for the back drop; Sissy and Kellie from the GoNagambie team; and the independent, confidential judges, whoever they may be, tasked with the very difficult job of deciding the winners.
Thanks also goes to Annabelle Cleeland, Member for Euroa, who spoke and congratulated local business for their efforts and achievements over the last five years.
Representatives of major sponsors Inland Rail and John Holland also spoke to attendees.
Congratulations to all those local businesses that were nominated, a very special achievement and well-deserved accolade.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate, to the businesses that returned the detailed application forms and the finalists that attended the evening.
We could not be more proud of the event and would sincerely like to thank everyone who was involved, supported this project and who attended the gala event to celebrate not only the incredible businesses that received awards, but celebrate the local business community as a whole.
