Take a bite at the opportunity

Local businesses and groups can take advantage of opportunities for projects with Inland Rail by joining a consultation course.

The Inland Rail Skills Academy is partnering with Deborah Wilson Consulting Services to facilitate a ‘Pathways to Opportunities’ capability development program for businesses along the Beveridge to Albury section of the national line, which includes Euroa.

The program will run between July and October and will help local and First Nations SMEs and social enterprises understand how to engage with buyers, prepare competitive tender submissions, and manage contracts for work on major projects and within regional supply chains.

The program is open to:

• local and First Nations businesses and social enterprises

• new and established businesses

• small to medium enterprises.

Priority for inclusion will be given to businesses in project construction industries located within the Local Government Areas that the line passes through, including Strathbogie Shire; however, all businesses near the Inland Rail alignment are also encouraged to register their interest.

The program will:

• help you understand the capabilities and compliance requirements expected by major project buyers
