Maintenance and improvement works will see a closure of the Sydney to Melbourne railway line this week for a total of 67 hours in both Victoria and NSW.
The works are part of a program to improve network resilience and reliability with Victoria's closures affecting the Albury-Melbourne (to Tottenham) line from 6am Saturday 13 September to 6pm Monday 15 September.
Passengers are advised to plan alternative travel or journeys outside of these hours.
The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will carry out essential rail maintenance and improvement works, including re-railing, track reconditioning, structures upgrades and repairs, as well as mudhole removal and track ballasting and tamping activities.
These works are part of ARTC’s commitment to improve network resilience and reliability.
