The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) has partnered with Nutrien Ag Solutions to provide local farmers with dedicated drought support resources.
The Victorian Drought Support Program will allow the VFF to employ a dedicated advisor to help farmers to access existing drought support grants, coordinate wellbeing events, and act as a critical link between farmers and decision makers to identify potential gaps in drought support.
The program is being funded by Nutrien Ag.
VFF President Brett Hosking said the initiative aimed to act as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for farmers and to identify future areas of support.
“Farmers in Victoria are telling us they need a central point they can contact when it comes to drought assistance and the issues they’re facing," Mr Hosking said.
