Aspiring Victoria Police officers will be able to complete the force's entrance exam online from 1 November.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the change meant applicants would be able to complete the assessment where and when they choose, putting recruits into training faster.
Testing slots will be available every 10 minutes day and night, including public holidays.
