BEN Brisbourne has taken out the coveted Colin Alderson Rising Star award at the Victorian Racing Awards on Sunday night.
The award recognises an emerging talent among Victoria's training ranks and has been won in recent years by Nick Ryan (2020) and Matt Cumani (2019).
The award is open to Victorian–based trainers aged 40 years and under with no more than seven seasons as a licensed trainer.
