LEADING Senior Constable and sole member officer at Violet Town Police Station Pat Storer has been awarded an Australian Police Medal within the Australian honours system.

Serving in the force for about 40 years, he has served for the most part within regional Victoria, having served in Shepparton and Kyabram prior to his 11 years at the Violet Town Police Station.

He said that he was pleased with receiving the medal, but was also very surprised he was nominated.
