OVERCAST weather dawned on Wednesday, March 2 and had us all wondering what the day would bring, but the weatherman was kind to us and the 96 ladies from clubs from many areas arrived to have a day out bowling.

President of the Euroa Club Neville Harris said it was a pleasure to have everyone here and thanked the greenkeepers and all the volunteers who worked so well to have the greens ready after the overnight rain.

He thanked the sponsor, Euroa Pharmacy and wished all good bowling and introduced Libby Byrne the tournament organiser who then welcomed the teams from Shepparton Park, Avenel, Kyabram, Hill Top, Seymour, Rushworth, Nathalia, Nummurkah, Shepparton Golf Nagambie, Numurkah Golf, East Shepparton, Benalla, Mansfield, Wangaratta, Mooroopna Golf, Euroa and gave the bowlers the rules of play for the day.

A spider and Dutch to Dutch on the greens was held before the start of play of three games for the day.

A salad lunch was had after the first game and two games held before afternoon tea and the announcement of winners.

Third prize with two game wins was Dossie Grills Kyabram team, runners up with two wins and a draw was the Shepparton Park team of Bev Cahill, Bev Thorn, Jenniw Hill, Wendy Holland and the winners for the day with three game wins was Lyn Nicholson, Barb Rogerson, Sue Morton and Glenda Exton skipper, a composite team.

All thanked the club for the lovely day and the sponsor and their teams who all had a great day.

Raffle winners for the lovely array of prizes were Di Hands from Shepparton Golf, Terri from Wangaratta, Judy Murphy from Benalla, Anne Dealy from Numurkah, Debbie Thompson from Rushworth, Trish Green from Seymour, Ruth Underwood from Avenel, Kristeen Boyce from Euroa.

Libby again thanked all who came to make the day a success and hoped all had a good time.
