BRIGHT sunny conditions were the order of the day as we headed down the highway to play Tabilk at Avenel.

Coach Lucas Paul was away sunning himself in Bali, with his able assistant Jason Wilson stepping up for a few weeks.

Scrambly play early in the game saw two quick points on the board for Euroa, the team eager to start scoring at every opportunity.

Great running and marking from Mitchell Walters in this quarter ably assisted by a speedy midfield in Will Smyth, Ryan Hill, and Cohen Paul kept the ball moving around the ground.

Only goal for this quarter belonged to Marcello Mercuri, our fearless captain.

As the siren sounded Euroa were 1.4.10 with Tabilk yet to score.
