THE match of the day belonged to the B grade girls, who were coming off a high after beating the highly-fancied United team the week prior.

Their job was not going to be any easier this week, with Kyabram sitting second on the ladder.

Euroa was determined to start strongly and through tight defence, managed to turn over some of Kyabram’s missed shots on goal to head into quarter time up by seven goals.

Kyabram were not going to let Euroa run away with it and put pressure on throughout the second and third quarters.

Kyabram got back within a goal in the third quarter but it was then that Euroa managed to compose themselves and keep possession of the ball.

The last quarter was an excellent team effort from the Pies with defenders Kim Saxon and Alyssa Flint combining beautifully to put the Kyabram shooters under pressure.
