THE annual River and Ranges Winery Ride will return to Mitchelton Winery, Nagambie on Sunday, November 22.
In its fourth edition, the River and Ranges Winery Ride offers cycling fans their best opportunity to ride alongside their favourite and some of the world’s best cyclists including 2014 Liege-Bastogne-Liege champion and world championship silver medallist Simon Gerrans, and Classics specialist Mitch Docker and former Australian Luke Durbridge.
Joining them will be colleagues of the ORICA-AIS women’s team including Gracie Elvin and Amanda Spratt who both posted career-first European victories in 2015.
Starting and finishing at Mitchelton Wines Estate, the River and Ranges Winery Ride will again feature four distances to suit all cyclists.
The rides will take participants through one of the team’s favourite provinces in Australia; the picturesque Nagambie winery region and challenging Strathbogie Ranges.
Mitchelton Wines managing director Andrew Ryan said the event draws around 1500 people and is a fantastic way for them to enjoy the Strathbogie Ranges and showcase the region.
