Girls do town and club proud

NEW CHALLENGES: The Euroa junior netballers encountered varying degrees of competition at a recent tournament. PHOTOS: Barb Putamorsi

THE Euroa Junior Football Netball Club took three teams to compete in the Diamond Creek Force Netball Tournament on Sunday.

Whilst the competition was very tough all the girls did a wonderful job and played some excellent netball.

The 15 and under team made it to the semi-final and went down by four goals in a great game, against a much taller and stronger Sacred Heart team.

Under 13 Black competed well all day and had a couple of very close matches, finishing the day with a well-deserved win.

Under 13 Pink team gave it their all and soldiered on despite losing a couple of players to injury.

Despite the very early start and a long hot day, the girls all had a great time and did a wonderful job of representing our club and our town.

Many thanks to the coaches and helpers – Kate, Barb, Teagan, Abbie and Raelee, and to the parents for their assistance on the day.
