LOCAL footballers Ada Chessor and Tamara Smith have been selected in the Goulburn Murray Youth girl’s under 17 representative football side.

The girls played in the TAC Cup Carnival in Moe and Traralgon which forms the start of tryouts for the under 18s Murray Bushrangers girls football side.

Ada spent the football season playing for Kyabram’s girls side and Tamara played for Mooroopna.

Ada has already spent a week in Geelong as a member of the Under 16 AFL Victoria development team earlier this year.

She also recently tried out for the Northern Rivers under 16 cricket side, coaches basketball and spends one day a week at St John’s Primary School helping Melinda Watson teach physical education.

Ada’s mother Cheryl Chessor said that Ada never gives up and is willing to put the hard work into her training, no matter what sports she is doing.
