EUROA resident John Burns was shocked last week to find his car covered by swarming bees outside his Brock Street home.

Mr Burns immediately called Strathbogie Shire Council who put him in touch with local beekeeper, Rob Moulton.

“He said the queen must have landed to have a rest and she had sent the scouts out to find a new home,” Mr Burns said.

“They stayed on the car for an hour and a half.

“People were turning up left, right and centre to look at them.”

Mr Burns said he managed to get into his car and took it for a drive in an effort to shake the bees off, however, his efforts were unsuccessful.
