Last September the team came into the second semi-final against Merrigum after a week off, having finished in the top two.

On the weekend they met again in the second semi-final, and Merrigum prevailed by 29 points.

Merrigum dominated the first half of the match with seven of the first 10 goals – Nagambie was thoroughly outplayed.

After half time, players such as Tyrone Muir and Ben Hutton, who had a big impact earlier on, dropped out of the game.

When the game was in the balance they had virtually nothing left to give when their match fitness dropped off.
