SUNDAY, September 13 proved to be a day when the Euroa Senior XVIII team concluded their 2015 GVFL campaign, losing to Kyabram by 28 points in their elimination final.

With the match being played in very hot conditions at Echuca, the Euroa team looked to begin its assault on the finals series for 2015 knowing its capacity, at its best, was certainly good enough.

Pat Horsburgh began the day very well, cracking in and getting the ball out of the contested situation allowing the likes of lively forward Brad Cunningham to take full opportunity as he kicked two first quarter goals.

Coach Nathan Gilliland was pleased with his team’s effort in the first as he re-set his side for what was to be a pivotal quarter with Kyabram kicking with the wind in the second.

Captain Andrew Bell led the way yet again with some inspired work in the midfield while classy defenders Anthony Long and Adam Tarrant continued to repel many Kyabram forward moves.

With Kyabram starting to gain ascendency the second half loomed as one of the most keenly fought contests for the year.
