A PERFECT DAY: Stephanie Ryan opened the start of the Euroa Bowls Club season which was attended by many club members.

ON A perfect spring day on Saturday 42 Euroa players and three rinks from Violet Town came to the Euroa Bowls Club for the official opening of the 2015-2016 bowling season.

Club secretary, Corrie Dingemans welcomed all to the greens and asked for a minute’s silence for members who had passed away since the last season – Joan (Mickey) Reed and Ross Knight.

Apologies were received from several members including president Brian Diffey and Corrie hoped that all would have a wonderful day.

Local member for Euroa, Steph Ryan was introduced saying that she had just come from Kilmore, having opened their season.

Steph said that it was lovely to be in Euroa, with the weather so much better than Kilmore and to see such a strong club in Euroa.

She then wished all the very best for the season, hoping it would be very successful and it gave her great pleasure to declare the season open.
