A lesson with an expert illustrator

PICTURE STORY TREAT: Picture story author and illustrator Mark Wilson visited St John’s Primary and Euroa Primary School students last week.

ST JOHN’S Primary School and Euroa Primary School were treated to a visit from picture story author and illustrator Mark Wilson last week to mark the start of Book Week.

Mark has published over 30 books and was passionate in sharing his stories with the students.

Mark worked with junior grades around the topic “Australian Animals” and with the senior grades on the topic “Anzacs”.

Not only did Mark entertain the students with some great stories and fantastic tips, but he gave every child in the school the opportunity to draw and learn from his teachings.

Euroa Primary School principal Ross Davis said that the day was a success.

“Mark is a passionate writer and illustrator and he was able to share his enthusiasm with the students,” he said.
