WITH a chill in the air and a spring in their step, the Euroa netball girls hosted perennial power-house, Shepparton United, at Memorial Oval on Saturday.
Another special day on the courts saw both Clare Kelly and Caitie Mitchell play their 50th club games, and we congratulate these girls on their fine representation of Euroa FNC over recent years.
In what was arguably the most emphatic first-half display of netball for the season thus far, the Euroa A grade girls came out blazing to dominate a shell-shocked Shepparton United.
Euroa piled on 14 first-quarter goals and restricted United to only four to take control of the match from a very early stage.
Kali Guilmartin and Maddie Morrison were in devastating form under the post, converting effortlessly at every opportunity.
Full-court defensive pressure, led from 50-gamer Caitie Mitchell down back, was a major factor in restricting any opportunities that United may have had.
