LAST year saw Nagambie Rowing Club’s members step into the top class of rowing events.
Many of the young rowers who train on Lake Nagambie each weekend or through the week and school holidays showed great promise and this year the skills they have gained are paying off in major events.
Champion international rower and coach, Mike Walter said “the future of Nagambie Rowing Club is great because they not only have both a world class rowing course, plus the opportunity for long distance rowing on the Goulburn River, but they also have dedicated coaches, volunteer helpers, parents and rowers to help the young rowers reach the top in various fields.
In country Victoria there is plenty of talent to tap into that is being missed in the City”.
This prediction is coming true not just with the regattas that are held on Lake Nagambie but in state and interstate events.
