THE Euroa reserves achieved their first success of the 2015 season with a convincing victory over Tatura.
The team had been strengthened by the inclusion of a number of experienced players and the return of Tim Faliszewski to the club and Eddie Carracher from injury.
The inclusions bolstered the overall strength of the team with Dav Mackrell’s height in the ruck taking the pressure from the likes of Hayden Berry and Trav Burls who had in past games been forced to fill this roll.
This presence at the centre bounce and at the stoppages around the ground gave the on-ballers the chance to win possession of the ball and relieve pressure on the back half.
The experience of Eddie Carracher was a big plus to the team and the football smarts of Ash Hobbs were instrumental in the victory with Eddie kicking early goals in the game and Ash finishing off with a five goal last quarter.
Pleasing to the club overall is the development of the younger brigade whose confidence is growing, this being assisted by the support of the older group of players who are working to assist their development.
