Soccer grows as a sport in Euroa area

IT has been a great start to the 2015 season for the Euroa Soccer Club.

IT has been a great start to the 2015 season for the Euroa Soccer Club.

A club that has only been established six years playing a sport that is new to the majority of the participants yet has over 60 players in four different age groups.

Each week 40 players participate in the Shepparton Junior Soccer League (SJSA) in Open Girls, Under 16 Boys, Under12s and Under 10s.

Due to the club’s young age and so many of the players playing the sport for the first time, sometimes the final score of the games do not reflect the hard work at training.

But the fact that there are so many children in younger age groups is very encouraging for the future of the club, its supporters and, the children are all having fun.

The Open Girls team is a combined team with Shepparton High School.
