EUROA Lawn Tennis Club’s annual Labour Day tournament surpassed all expectations this year with 430 participants over three days.
Players of all abilities and interests participated in Open, A, B, C and D grades and in singles, doubles and mixed events.
Organiser Gayle Furphy said there were 790 entries across these five levels, which she believed was the largest tournament of its type in the Goulburn Valley region over this particular weekend.
Junior players were also well catered for.
Many people return year after year from Melbourne and other larger regional centres to this family orientated event.
All involved enjoyed a break in a country town which provided not just the tennis, but a wide variety of pursuits in a quiet and peaceful setting.
