Children begin a schooling journey

PARENTS throughout the Shire of Strathbogie watched their children put on their school uniforms for the very first time last week.

Tears were shed but the 110 new foundation (formerly known as Prep) students have settled in to their new schools where they will spend the next seven years.

St John’s School Euroa enrolled the most new students in the entire shire, with 35 children starting primary school this week.

Euroa Primary School has 19 new foundation students at the school while Avenel Primary School has 24.

Nagambie Primary School welcomed 17 new students while St Joseph’s School Nagambie said hello to five new students.

The Peranbin Primary College Violet Town and Strathbogie campuses welcomed nine new students in total while Longwood Primary School has one new student.
