EUROA’S three day bowls tournament over the Christmas holiday period was a wonderful success for the club.

EUROA’S three day bowls tournament over the Christmas holiday period was a wonderful success for the club.

The tournament has been run for many years and has drawn competitors from near and far but in recent times the format had taken a different turn that it had many years ago when on occasions each day quite often had a fill and a half on the greens and went well into the night.

Tournament director Ken Sutcliffe along with overseer Corrie Dingemans had everything well in hand this year for the three days.

The first day was the Men’s Open Triples on Saturday, December 27, followed on Sunday with Open Mixed Three Bowl Triples and concluding on Sunday, January 4 with the Men’s 2x4x2 Pairs.

Competitors came from Violet Town, Avenel, Stanhope, Hill Top, East Shepparton, Shepparton Park, Seymour, Eildon, Benalla, Kilmore, Seymour VRI, Swanpool, Yea, Murchison, Shepparton Golf, Shepparton RSL, Ivanhoe and several Bendigo and Melbourne clubs over the three days.
