HAVING posted a competitive total of 203 last week, Euroa were cautiously optimistic that they could get the win against the always strong Shepp United.

The attack started slowly with the first breakthrough coming at 57, but from then on the wickets fell regularly with the home side dismissed for 142 runs inside 60 overs.

Tim Jackson backed up his impressive bowling performance in the last game with figures of 3/14 from his eight overs.

Ben Milliken was sensational in his return to the team with 3/37 from 21 overs including six maidens and Dion Grant and Tom Burke continued their consistent seasons with two wickets each.

It was another strong win from the team and a great way to finish 2014.

The team will be looking forward to its Christmas break as it now sits in fifth on the table but only a handful of points from the top of the ladder.
