Euroa sets itself up to take win this weekend

TEAM UNDER PRESSURE: Travis Stefanos (B grade) batted well at the memorial oval on Saturday, but next week’s bowling will be the decider.

EUROA were expected to dominate this game after strongly defeating Mooroopna in the first round.

Euroa won the toss and batted in this, the first two day (80 overs per side) match of the season.

The conditions looked evenly poised at the Memorial Oval with the pitch offering something for both bat and ball.

However, Euroa got off to a troubled start, losing two wickets for 10 runs to start the innings.

Travis Stefanos batted well for his 23, and Jett Trotter top scored for the innings with classy 32.

Chris Burke, Adam Wright and Brad Gleeson were the only other batsmen to make double figures as Euroa struggled to build productive partnerships and were dismissed for 133 in under 54 overs.
