A BROAD-ranging prospectus for the Strathbogie Shire is the principle aim of a new lobby group to be launched next week.

Strathbogie Voices will hold its inaugural meeting in Euroa with similar meetings planned for centres across the shire in coming months.

Strathbogie Voices spokeswoman Kate Stothers said the group would provide an opportunity for the local community to express its vision for their area.

“Strathbogie Voices also aims to improve the standards, decision-making and consultation processes of the Shire of Strathbogie,” Ms Stothers said.

“We need to acknowledge that there is frustration within the community,” she said.

“It is real and some of it is long-standing. But we need to take this frustration and turn it into something positive.”
