EUROA resident Frances Murray could not keep the smile off her face after going out on a high, winning two prestigious accolades at her last Australian Sheep and Wool Show recently in Bendigo.

Mrs Murray, who has ran her stud out of her Koorana property for the past three decades, took out the Australian Supreme Prime Lamb Group with one ram and two twin ewes.

She was awarded the Champion Hampshire Down Ewe and the Champion Hampshire Ram at the show.

The ewes impressed judges at the show weighing at 100kg each while the ram was a heavy 120kg, all three under 1.5 years old.

Mrs Murray was modest when expressing her pleasure at the achievement, saying she did get several firsts in the past but never an Australian title.

“I’m very thrilled about this,” she said.
